Additional Information1 test is valid on neonates for the entire admission or until the neonate reaches the age of 4 months whichever comes first.  After this time a regular Type & Screen should be ordered instead of a Type & Screen/Neonatal and each test is only good for 3 days from the specimen collection date for transfusion.
