Imaging Navigation
Imaging Navigation
Imaging Navigators help connect A to B and serve as a GPS for patients and providers throughout SRHS. The Imaging Navigation program is the only one in the Upstate and currently serves over 4,000 patients a year.
Ways Our Imaging Navigation Team connects A to B
- Imaging Navigators ensure the providers ordering tests receive and acknowledge the imaging study recommended for follow up. Any follow up imaging and treatment recommendations are at the discretion of the provider and the patient.
- Imaging Navigators contact patients seen in the Emergency Center who do not have a primary care physician or insurance and have received follow up recommendations. Imaging Navigators provide healthcare resources for follow up recommendations to patients including information regarding local primary care providers, AccessHealth, St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic, Regenesis and Healthy Outcomes Program - Spartanburg.
- After discharge, patients are encouraged to schedule an appointment with their primary care physician or specialist to discuss any needed follow-up care.
