Safe Kids of the Piedmont, a non-profit organization led by Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, provides dedicated and caring staff, operation support and other resources to keep your kids safe at home, in the car and while they sleep. This coalition of community partners implements evidence-based programs to help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries.

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System works with local firefighters, law enforcement officers, health educators, parents and other community members to eliminate the top six preventable causes of death of children:
- Motor vehicle crashes, including those that involve people riding bicycles and walking
- Drowning
- Fire and burns
- Poisoning and choking
- Falls
To help educate the public about injury prevention, Safe Kids of the Piedmont provides safety equipment and information and hosts events such as bike-safety “rodeos,” car seat checks, CPR classes and smoke alarm campaigns.
