Head and Neck cancers may affect speech, swallowing, vision, and hearing. The Gibbs team is dedicated to promoting quality of life after your diagnosis. By using advanced diagnostic technology and the latest treatments Gibbs offers you the highest quality of cancer care available.
The Head & Neck Cancer Program focuses on:
- Oral cavity (organs in the mouth)
- Pharynx or throat
- Larynx (vocal cords)
- Salivary glands
- Nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses
- Skull base
- Ear and temporal bone
- Neck
Creating your individualized treatment plan is the reason we present all newly diagnosed Head & Neck cancers during the Head & Neck Multidisciplinary Planning Conference. Every patient is reviewed for possible participation in a clinical trial. Primary treatment options include surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Support services, such as Speech Language Pathology, Nutrition, and Medical Social Work, are key players in maintaining quality of life.
