| Container | 24 Hour Plastic urine container with no preservative. 6N HCl preservative is acceptable. Obtain urine container from the laboratory. |
| Collection Instructions | Instruct the patient to void at 8 A.M. and discard the specimen. Then collect all urine including the final specimen voided at the end of the 24-hour collection period (i.e., 8 A.M. the next morning) Container must be labeled with patient name, date and time collection started and date and time collection finished. Refrigerate during the collection. Screw lid on securely. |
