Immediate/Urgent Care Rotation

Duration: 4 week rotation
Course Offered: Throughout the year

Students have an opportunity to observe and manage, under supervision, a variety of patients with non-urgent cases in all fields of medicine. The most common are Trauma ( Fractures, Sprains), Upper respiratory infections, Abdominal Pain, GI symptoms, Urinary System Infections, Gynecological problems, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Back Pain, etc. We manage urgent care for patients of all age groups. Students also have an opportunity to learn outpatient procedures from Incision and Drainage, Biopsies, Joint Injection, Lacerations etc.
