SMC - Center for Rheumatology - Boiling Springs is a division of Spartanburg Medical Center. As a “provider-based” or “hospital-based” clinic, SMC - Center for Rheumatology - Boiling Springs is considered part of Spartanburg Medical Center, which allows us to provide you with higher quality and seamlessly coordinated care. For our patients with Medicare, Medicaid or Tricare insurance, your visit will be billed under the hospital, even though you are not hospitalized. Your statement may have separate charges for the physician service (professional charge) and the facility service (hospital charge). The combined total charge is the same, but you may have higher costs because a portion of the bill is for a hospital charge.

We are participating providers for most medical insurance plans. Because there are a variety of options, please contact your insurance company or one of our patient access representatives to ensure our practice is a provider for your plan. Please remember to bring your insurance card with you.
