Critical Value 
Test IncludesShell vial or equivalent multiwell plate and conventional culture. 
MethodologyConventional tissue culture and shell vial cultures.
Testing FrequencyShell vial cultures stained at 48 hrs. and 4 days after receipt. Cultures positive by shell vial are reported as final. Negatives are continued for 3 weeks, before reporting as final.
