Specimen Processing Instructions

Plasma:  Centrifuge at 3380 rpm’s (±100) for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection.

Do not store at room temperature.

Specimen Stability

Do not store at room temperature.  Refrigerated: 6 hours  If plasma samples are not tested within 6 hours, store samples in plastic tubes and freeze at or below -20C.  Samples are stable up to 9 months when stored frozen at or below -20C. 

Rejection Criteria

Sample submitted is not purple EDTA plasma. 
Sample is collected in glass tube.
