Program Overview
Spartanburg Regional has been an outstanding community teaching institution for over 50 years. It is a core mission of the hospital system. We focus on the educational needs and professional growth of our students and residents. The Department of Medical Education has a large expert faculty with decades of experience in teaching with a community faculty that represents virtually all the core specialties and understands the value and essence of medical education.
In 2005, the ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program became dually-accredited through the AOA. Since then we developed our two year clinical experience for allopathic and osteopathic medical students. Our rotation offerings have grown to the point that we have a full breadth of rotations and elective learning opportunities for our students. Our faculty is dedicated and enthusiastic. Our facilities and institutional support is superb.
We welcome anyone that is interested in an outstanding Medical Education experience in an excellent community teaching hospital.
