About
In addition to the hands-on learning approach that all students, fellows and residents receive, we offer an expansive library. The Health Sciences Library contains a collection of 1,000 books and audiovisuals on the subjects of nursing, medicine, pharmacology and allied and mental health. These are circulated to Spartanburg Regional staff and local faculty only. There are thousands of online journal articles available via online databases. Online evidence-based point of care resources and eBooks are also available. A photocopier with fax, scanning and e-mail capability is available.
The library provides reference service, interlibrary loan/document delivery of articles the library does not have access to, medical/nursing literature searches and searching assistance to staff, patients and the community.
Information regarding the library’s electronic resources such as databases, point of care resources, journals, eBooks, catalog, etc. can be found on its intranet page which is available to SRHS staff only.
The Health Sciences Library is located on the third floor of Spartanburg Medical Center and is open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. The library is available to provide medical information to patients, their families, the public and medical professionals within the community and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
