Home buying program providing financial, educational resources to associates

Ten employees have participated in Spartanburg Regional’s Associate Homebuyer Assistance Program, which provides financial assistance and educational resources for eligible participants. Those who meet household income and other requirements must also live within a 15-mile radius of a healthcare system facility.

Jacob Jackson, an associate with IT - Desktop Support, participated in the program and recommends it to those who are eligible.

“This program was absolutely huge in helping me pay my up-front closing costs almost in full,” Jackson said. “It is very helpful to be able to save that cash for other important expenses – especially with the cost of housing and high interest rates in today’s economy. If you have the long-term job you love, it requires you to buy within a mileage distance of your workplace, which is also good for the daily commute.”
