Cardiac Rehab opens in Gaffney
Specialized, hands-on cardiac rehabilitation is closer to home for Cherokee County residents. The new Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Cherokee Medical Center is helping heart patients make healthy lifestyle changes and improve their lives. Part of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s cardiovascular and pulmonary rehab program, the rehab center includes state-of-the-art exercise equipment, nurses and staff who work one-on-one with patients for exercise therapy, counseling with dietitians, individualized treatment plans and cardiac education.

Spartanburg Regional Foundation gives more than $800,000 to initiatives
In 2024, the Spartanburg Regional Foundation allocated $808,685 across 17 grantees that are advancing patient care and promoting sustainable health and wellness throughout the community.
In August 2024, the Foundation invited Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System leaders and community partners to celebrate the exceptional level of grant funding made possible by donors across the Upstate.
Seven grants went toward hospital projects totaling $474,400, while $334,285 went to 10 community initiatives.
