Located in the beautiful foothills of the South Carolina Blue Ridge mountains, Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care (SHRC) is a licensed freestanding 97-bed, long term acute-care hospital (LTACH) and a licensed 25-bed skilled nursing facility.
SHRC is committed to helping patients reach their optimal health goals. The venue is ideal for patients requiring treatment for pulmonary, cardiac, renal, infectious diseases and complex wound treatment.

Long-Term Acute Care
Our long-term, acute care (LTACH) unit focuses on patients with serious medical problems that require special treatment.
Successful intervention requires a comprehensive approach involving often involving numerous professions and technologies. Educating the patient and family is crucial to achieving success and breaking the cycle of readmission. Patients reach their optimal and realistic goals through work, family involvement, and intervention of many professionals.

- Post trauma

- Wound care
Skilled Nursing Unit
The Skilled Nursing Unit at the Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care is a licensed 25-bed, skilled nursing facility, designed to meet the needs of patients who have had an in-patient hospital stay and require short-term, skilled nursing and/or skilled rehabilitation services. Providing skilled care since 2006, the Skilled Nursing Unit combines a positive, caring environment with an innovative and effective rehabilitation program to help patients reach their maximum level of recovery to return home.
Patients who can benefit from the care of a skilled nursing facility include:
- Joint replacement
- Fractures
- Amputations
- Cancer
- Respiratory failure
- Heart failure
- Uncontrolled diabetes
- Stroke
- Myocardial infarction
- Status post-pacemaker insertion
- Exacerbated chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Insurance
We are participating providers for most medical insurance plans. Because there are a variety of options, please contact your insurance company or one of our patient access representatives to ensure our facility is a provider for your plan.

Prescription Refills
If you are a patient currently using MyChart, you may be able to request a refill through the app or online portal. For prescriptions not available in MyChart, please make an appointment so a physician can evaluate if the medications need to be changed. It could take up to 24-48 business hours for a refill to be submitted.
Patient Records
Our practices use an electronic health record system that allows for a seamless patient experience through improved communications, timeliness, patient information storage and portability. This system, called MyChart, will allow you to view medications, allergies, health issues and recent visits.
New patients in our practices are asked to complete a medical release form before your appointment. The signed form gives us the ability to request medical records from other physician practices that you may have visited. This information provides our physicians with a more complete medical history. To obtain or transfer detailed medical records to another practice, please contact the Medical Records Office at 864-560-6273.
