About

About

Genetic counseling can help you understand your risk for cancer and the risks for other members of the family.

Genetic counseling is the process of helping individuals and families affected by or at risk for genetic disorders understand and adapt to the medical, psychological and familial implications of genetic contributions to disease. Genetic counselors have advanced training in medical genetics and counseling to help individuals and families with this information.

Please join us for lunch to hear Bridgette Aufmuth, certified oncology genetic counselor with Gibbs Cancer Center - Pelham, share information about various genetic counseling specialties, how genetic testing is conducted, and whether genetic testing might be a good option for you.
