About
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists (OTs) work with patients to improve their abilities to use their arms and to develop their maximum level of independence in the areas of daily living skills. Treatment includes strengthening exercises, coordination activities, training in daily living activities (feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.), and visual and perceptual retraining.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapists (PTs) work with patients who have health issues that limit their ability to move and take part in the everyday routines of life. Treatment includes strengthening exercises, balance activities, training in walking skills and/or maneuvering a wheelchair.
Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapists (ATs) work in helping patients regain walking balance in the water, core strengthening, and exercises that are difficult to accomplish on land but easier to perform once the buoyancy of water assists with the motion.
