School-based telehealth empowers local schools to deliver a range of healthcare services to its students. In partnership with the South Carolina Telehealth Alliance, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System offers school-based telehealth in Spartanburg. The service improves access to medical services for students, without requiring students to travel to outside facilities. School-based telehealth allows students to be treated for a variety of injuries and illnesses, including:
- Cold and flu
- Fever
- Strep throat
- Asthma
- Lice
- Pinkeye
- Rashes
- Earaches
- Sprains and strains
Partner Schools
All students at partner schools are eligible for the school-based telehealth services. Our current partner schools are:
Cherokee County School District
- BD Lee Elementary School
- Blacksburg Primary School
- Luther Vaughan Elementary School
School-based telehealth increases classroom time for students, reduces absenteeism and provides access to care for students who otherwise would not receive it.
