About
Return to play is a collaboration between the orthopaedic, physical therapy and sports performance teams. It is a bridge program for individuals completing therapy after an injury.
After an injury, an athlete needs specialized training to return to play, regardless of their age. SMI’s all-encompassing program builds on the progress made in physical therapy to improve all areas of performance, with a specific focus on the sports performance key components:
- Speed
- Power
- Agility
- Strength
- Endurance
The goal of Return to Play is to bring the athlete back better and stronger than before the injury.
