Physical Therapy (PT) is a health and rehabilitation profession designed to develop, maintain, and/or restore maximum movement and function to individuals.
Physical therapists are licensed medical professionals who create customized rehabilitation programs for the treatment of illnesses or injuries that limit a person’s ability to move and/or perform functional activities.
Physical therapy at Spartanburg Regional is available for adults and children through inpatient and outpatient programs.
Physical Therapy Goals
- Prevent the onset and progression of impairment, functional limitation, or disability resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
- Restore, maintain and promote overall fitness and optimal quality of life as related to movement and health.
- Provide pain/symptom management.
- Provide patient and family education in exercise, posture, body mechanics, ergonomics, use of home modalities, etc.

Inpatient Services
