Biography
Katie Langley, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and fellowship trained in primary care sports medicine. Dr. Langley earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wofford College, where she was a member of the womens soccer team. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, where she was elected chief resident. Following residency, she continued her training at the University of Florida where she completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship. While at Florida, she provided sideline and training room coverage for the Florida Gators. She also gained experience serving as the team physician for a local 5A high school, providing care for Santa Fe College, and various NCAA post-season events. She returned to Spartanburg in 2017 and currently serves as team physician for Union County High School. Dr. Langley, her husband, Garrett, and dog, Rascal, are excited to call the Upstate home again. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to records while enjoying a cozy fire, trying out local breweries, and traveling.
