About

A community for people of all ages with or at risk for cardiovascular disease.

Interacting with Therapy Dogs has been show to improve health in many ways: Therapy dogs can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels in heart patients, help reduce the amount of medication some people need to manage medical conditions, boost the immune system, increase the pain threshold, improve motivation for activities (including exercise and social interaction), elevate mood, and decrease feelings of depression, loneliness, and feelings of isolation. Join us this month to improve your heart health with Spartanburg Regionals furriest therapists!

Cardiac Connection is a monthly community group that supports people of all ages who have experienced a cardiovascular event such as a heart attack or stroke, had surgery related to the heart or are at risk for heart disease. Relevant topics and speakers vary each month. Bring your lunch and a friend!

In addition, we offer encouragement and lifestyle improvement activities. You may also connect with others who have had similar experiences. If you or a loved one are interested, please join us.
