Integrative Medicine
About
Good health and wellness aren't just about a strong, healthy body. It's about a healthy balance between your mind, body and spirit. The Center for Integrative Medicine at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System helps you find that balance through clinical programs that focus on your whole health and empower you to live your best life possible.
Our programs use integrative therapies, also known as complementary therapies. Integrative therapies don't replace traditional medicine, which treats physical issues of an illness or disease. Our therapies focus on the emotional symptoms of a disease, illness or the stresses of everyday life, which research shows can affect your body's ability to heal and stay well. Integrative therapies complement conventional treatments to help:
- Reduce anxiety, depression and stress
- Ease pain from chronic conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia
- Relieve side effects of treatments such as chemotherapy
- Improve sleep
