Our EMT Academy might be the right choice for you!

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System has partnered with SC Works and the Upstate EMS Council to create the Spartanburg County EMS Academy, an eight-week, paid, tuition-free training program for Emergency Medical Technicians.

Successful candidates of the Spartanburg County EMS Academy will be offered employment with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, where they will earn the following:

  • Up To $40K annual starting salary
  • Paid time off (holidays, sick time, vacation)
  • Group health and benefit insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan/SC Retirement System enrollment
  • Flexible Shift Assignments
  • Free Uniforms
  • Paid training classes via a Continuing Education Program (CEP) to maintain your EMT certification

Associates on the Ambulance Services team provide basic life support care in a hospital-based ambulance setting to include routine transports and assisting with critical care level transports. This is an essential EMS role that ensures our patients make it to our hospitals to receive the care they need.
