Nurse Patient CrutchesThe Spartanburg Regional Heart Center is designed to meet every need and address every possible scenario of cardiac care. We've put all cardiac services under one roof to ensure that all of our resources are available within seconds. That means not only having the necessary technology at hand, but also a centralized environment that's comfortable, convenient and dedicated to the care of a patient's specific cardiac condition.

With this concept in mind, we designed a facility that would combine the utmost in patient comfort with an unsurpassed level of cardiac care. We began by creating specialized patient units, including:

  • a 10-bed coronary care unit
  • a 10-bed post-surgery unit
  • a 32-bed surgical telemetry unit
  • a 32-bed medical telemetry unit

Whatever your condition or stage of recovery, you can rest assured you're receiving the finest cardiac care in a positive, highly personalized environment that promotes a speedy recovery.

Coronary Care Unit

The Coronary Care Unit is designed to care for critically ill patients who have had heart attacks and other serious conditions. These patients are continuously monitored using the latest technology with specially trained nurses on staff Cardiovascular Recovery Unit The Cardiovascular Recovery Unit is designed to care for patients immediately following heart, lung and vascular surgery. A specially trained staff continually monitors and cares for patients on this 10-bed unit.

Progressive Care Vascular Unit

PCVU is a post-operative surgical unit. All patients admitted to the unit are monitored with a central display located at the nursing station. Patients include those with chest pain, congestive heart failure, pre- and post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients, thoracic/vascular treatments and diagnoses.

Progressive Coronary Care Unit

Patients admitted to PCCU are monitored with a central display located at the nursing station. Patients include those with chest pain, congestive heart failure and other diagnoses which require cardiac monitoring.
