Cardiac Rehabilitation
Helping you get back to the business of living is one of the most rewarding aspects of our work at the Regional Heart Center. We're here to put you on the road to a full recovery. Our program of cardiac rehabilitation is recognized as a role model for other heart facilities. We're different in that we offer cardiovascular wellness programs not only to "heart patients," but also to the entire community.
Our Healthy Hearts Fitness program is available to area residents and serves as a preventive measure for people who have not experienced heart problems, but who are at risk for heart disease. Spartanburg Regional Heart Center's cardiac rehab program is an education and exercise program for heart patients. Most have had previous heart attack or heart surgery. Patients with congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease also benefit from the program. The four-phase program consists of individual exercise, rehabilitation and educational programs. Exercise prescriptions are tailored for each patient according to his or her level of recovery and supervised by nurses who are specifically trained in cardiovascular fitness. A cardiologist is nearby at all times as an added level of assurance.
